Rhodes, the second largest of the Greek islands, has long been a favoured summer destination for Northern Europeans due to its easy access with numerous flights from various regional airports. The island's northern part, particularly Rhodes Town, presents a captivating blend of historic architecture, quaint cobblestone streets lined with shops and eateries, and a lively nightlife scene. Rhodes stands out for its historical charm and as a fantastic Wingfoil holiday destination. 

Heading south from Rhodes Town is an extensive stretch of connected beaches, flanked by hotels. The main Wing Foiling areas are Ialyssos and Ixia beach. From May to October this area has very reliable wind, with the town of Rhodes heating up during the summer, which draws the wind along these areas. The wind here is very stable and cross to cross on-shore. There can be a little wind chop, which total beginner Wing Foilers may find a little challenging at first (it is always ideal to have very flat water to start if possible).
