Dakhla is most suited to a pure Wing Foil holiday, however, we do partner with some very stunning accommodations offering more than just work-class Wingfoiling, such as daily yoga classes, paddleboarding, desert trips, and surfing. We can also combine Dakhla with other parts of Morocco including Marrakech, Atlas Mountains, Essaouira and Taghazout (for amazing surfing). Days Off The Water In Dakhla
Most days in Dakhla are windy, but if the wind does drop, there are some good trips to choose from. You could go to the White Dune, where the desert runs down to the lagoon, or soak in the 38°C sulphur spring at Asmaa. Dragon Island has fiddler crabs and flamingos. On a catamaran trip you may see dolphins, and once in a while orcas. You can also see the oasis at the Sebkha of Imlili, visit a Saharawi village out in the desert for traditional tea and camels, or go to Puerto Rico beach, which sits on the Tropic of Cancer.
Other options are the Talha oyster park, boat fishing, watching the trawlers come into the fishing port, or the craft centre in Dakhla town. Quads and buggies run between the dunes and the lagoon, and at some places to stay you can surf.
Wifi is the one thing to plan for. Only a small number of properties have a reliable connection, so if you need to work, ask us which ones when you enquire. Anywhere else it's slow and comes and goes.
