Pointe d'Esny is a stunningly beautiful area in the South of Mauritius boasting the island’s whitest stretch of beach, and located a mere 15-minutes drive from the airport. Pointe d'Esny offers a secluded, peaceful, location in one of Mauritius' untouched areas. This area also boasts the largest lagoon on the island. Not far away is the charming historical village of Mahebourg, however, the real charm of Pointe d'Esny is that it is located away from the busier and commercial resorts found elsewhere in Mauritius.
Wing Foiling At Point Desny
Pointe d'Esny is the best Wing Foiling location on the whole of Mauritius island for beginners and improvers looking for flat water. There is a huge and very beautiful lagoon, with a fantastic Wing Foiling school. The lagoon can have shallow water areas at lower tides, but there is plenty of deeper water further out in the lagoon, which is all very safe to practice in.
The best time for a Wing Foiling holiday in the South of Mauritius is from June to November, although it is possible to get wind all year. The wing foiling lessons are by small boat in the huge lagoon so it is one of the easier locations to learn to Wing Foil.
