Days 1–4

Cumbuco

3* Windtown Beach Hotel Breakfast

Approximate transfer time: 30–40 minutes - On arrival at Fortaleza Airport, you will be met and assisted before travelling by private transfer to Cumbuco. Just a short drive from the airport, Cumbuco is the perfect place to begin, with dependable wind, warm water and a lively kitesurfing atmosphere. Ride directly from the beach, explore the nearby flat-water lagoons or simply settle into the relaxed rhythm of Brazil’s northern coast.

Days 4–9

Ilha do Guajiru

4* North lagoon boutique Breakfast

Approximate transfer time: 3 hours - Travel north by private transfer to Ilha do Guajiru, one of Brazil’s finest flat-water kitesurfing destinations. A vast sandbar creates an enormous protected lagoon, offering space for beginners, freeriders and freestyle riders alike.

Our carefully selected accommodation is positioned in a particularly privileged part of the lagoon where you can kite at any stage of the tide—an unusual and valuable advantage in Ilha do Guajiru. Beyond the main lagoon, there are further flat-water spots, mangrove estuaries and memorable downwinders to explore.

About Ilha do Guajiru +

Ilha do Guajiru is one of the best places in Brazil for a beginner's or improver's Wingfoil holiday. The huge tidal lagoon offers wide, calm, flat water, making it ideal for beginners and improvers who want an easy, safe place to learn and progress. The shallow lagoon gives you plenty of space to practise water starts, turns and longer rides without dealing with waves or chop, so your confidence grows very quickly. The steady wind and warm water create a stress-free environment that is perfect for building solid Wingfoil skills.

Because the lagoon is tidal and almost always flat, Ilha do Guajiru is not the best choice for a pure wingfoil holiday for advanced riders unless combined with kitesurfing, or as a stop on a multi-stay adventure. Advanced riders often enjoy warming up here before moving on to more challenging spots along the coast.

Ilha do Guajiru is also one of the easiest Wingfoil destinations to reach, with access from a couple or airports with a 2-3 transfers to most accommodations. It sits close to other world-class wind spots, making it the perfect place to start a longer Wingfoil holiday, with simple learning conditions at the start and more epic, adventurous spots just up the coast.

Days 9–13

Prea

3* Prea Village Pousada Breakfast

Approximate transfer time: 2½–3 hours - Continue north to Preá for a lively and exciting final chapter. Preá offers powerful, reliable wind, excellent ocean riding and some of the region’s best guided downwinders, making it a superb contrast to the flat water of Ilha do Guajiru.

The town has a friendly, social atmosphere, with an increasingly good choice of restaurants and places to go out. It is also close to Jericoacoara, one of Brazil’s most vibrant beach towns, making Preá the ideal place to combine exceptional kitesurfing with memorable evenings out.

Approximate transfer time: 3½ hours - After your final breakfast, travel by private transfer back to Fortaleza Airport for your onward flight, bringing an unforgettable Northern Brazil kitesurfing journey to a close.

About Prea +

Prea used to be a quiet fishing village but has now developed into a well-established small town that revolves around the kitesurfing scene. In recent years the level of accommodation has become much higher, and a number of great restaurants have sprung up. Prea now has a great vibe, but still not overdeveloped.

This is a great location to combine Wing Foiing with kitesurfing. It is also good for all types of holidays including family (we have stunning 2-bedroom luxury rooms with child care of needed), couples or solo travellers looking for a friendly and social environment.
