Why we rate this centre

NEW FOR 2025 - THERE IS NOW A WINGFOILING BASE RIGHT ON THE BEACH AT THE STEIGENBERGER HOTEL - FOR DIRECT ACCESS TO THE WATER

For any non pre-booked services please note - that they do not currently accept credit cards. There is an ATM located just outside the centre where clients can withdraw funds, please note that the machine provides cash in Egyptian Pounds (EGP).

The Kitesurf and secondary Wingfoil centre is located about 800 metres from the luxury Steigenberger Hotel, with a shuttle for this that do not wish to walk. The beach here has fine white sand and the crystal-clear water is wonderfully turquoise. In the large bay, a constant wind blows from northerly directions, strengthened by the nearby Red Sea, so that the spot is very wind reliable. The constant steady wind blows side-offshore or side-shore direction creating perfect flat water. Even in strong winds, the water in the bay remains relatively calm and is perfect for learning, freestyle and improver training. The centre has several boats in operation for training and safety.

Centre Facilities - The centre is a small luxurious oasis offering a beautiful place to relax between sessions, or for non-sporting friends and family. Kitesurfers with their own equipment can use the storage and all services of the centre: the beach staff helps with launching and landing the kites, and the lifeboat ensures safety. Toilets and showers, changing rooms and lockers, as well as the entire infrastructure can be used even by the escort. The centre’s bar serves delicious coffee, cool drinks, freshly squeezed juices and snacks.

  • • Storage boxes for private equipment
  • • Lockers for valuables
  • • night watch service
  • • Large changing rooms
  • • Hot water showers and toilets
  • • compressor to inflate the kites
  • • experienced beach staff to help with launching and landing
  • • Lifeboat service (a certain number of rescues are included in storage packages)
  • • large terrace
  • • a shady chill-out area with beanbags
  • • bar/bistro
  • • Shop with functional clothing, accessories and fashion
  • • free WiFi

Lessons - The centre trains according to the highest standards with exclusively licensed kite and wingfoil instructors and a huge wealth of experience. Complete beginners start in the basic or intensive basic course in individual supervision or a maximum of two. For kitesurfers who want individual training or trick and manoeuvre training, we suggest private training.

The spot offers excellent conditions for kitefoiling and wingfoiling, so there is a wide range of kitefoil and wingfoil courses.

Rental - Kitesurfers from level 4 (riding upwind) can rent first-class equipment from F-ONE. If you don’t want to waste any time and prefer to have your kite assembled and disassembled, you can choose the “Diamond Service” for a small surcharge and receive the fully assembled equipment directly at the kite beach and change sizes and models at any time on demand.

Kitefoilers and wingfoilers can rent premium equipment from F-ONE. The complete F-ONE range can be tested, free of charge, for 30 minutes. The team will also be happy to help you make a purchase decision for any F One equipment.

For rental of equipment you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove ability to rent (For Egypt this is mandatory and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)

Kindly note the below regarding the Egypt amusement tax to be paid on site:

The Egyptian parliament has passed a so-called amusement tax. From 16 July 2023, this tax must be paid to the Egyptian tax office. Unfortunately, this amusement tax also applies to all Sport/Dive centres on the Red Sea. Centres are now obliged to report the income daily to the tax office and to pay this tax to the state.

Kitefoil is considered the next era in kitesurfing. Learn advanced maneuvers like jumps, tacks, and gybes, take an epic foil trip along the coast, or simply learn how to foil in case you have never tried it.

You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.
