This Wild North Wingfoil Adventure takes you along Brazil’s remote northeast coast, combining world-class Wingfoiling with off-the-beaten-path travel through Ilha do Guajiru, Preá, Barra Grande, the Parnaíba Delta and Atins. You’ll enjoy tidal lagoons, flat-water spots, steady winds and stunning natural settings, with adventurous transfers that include beach driving, river crossings and boat journeys. Highlights include a private guided boat tour through the vast Parnaíba Delta and the chance to explore the surreal dunes and lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses. It’s an unforgettable mix of sport, nature and authentic Brazilian culture.
Days 1 - 6

This epic adventure begins in Ilha do Guajiru, one of the best Wingfoil and Kitesurf spots in all of Brazil, and easily accessible from Fortaleza Airport at around three hours or from Jericoacoara Airport in about ninety minutes. The lagoon is tidal, so we will plan your sessions around the best tides for your travel dates, which is especially important for Wingfoilers.

Days 6 - 10

Next up is Preá, known for its great atmosphere and excellent food, as well as its amazing Kiting and Wingfoiling. For Windsurfers, Jericoacoara is only twenty minutes away by beach buggy. The transfer from Ilha do Guajiru takes just ninety minutes.
Prea
Prea used to be a quiet fishing village but has now developed into a well-established small town that revolves around the kitesurfing scene. In recent years the level of accommodation has become much higher, and a number of great restaurants have sprung up. Prea now has a great vibe, but still not overdeveloped.
This is a great location to combine Wing Foiing with kitesurfing. It is also good for all types of holidays including family (we have stunning 2-bedroom luxury rooms with child care of needed), couples or solo travellers looking for a friendly and social environment.

Days 10 - 15
4* BGK Kitesurf and Wing Foil Resort

Today the trip becomes a little more adventurous with a six-hour off-road transfer, which includes beach driving and river crossings, as we make our way up to Barra Grande. We are now starting to enter the truly wild north.
Barra Grande (Macapa)
Barra Grande is one of the best Wing Foil destinations in Brazil for those looking to Wingfoiling directly from their accommodation, in a large flat water spot, with a choice of a good restaurant to eat out close by. This makes it a great location for all types of Wing Foil holidays, including a family Wing Foil holiday. The wing foiling school here is especially good and very professional.
Barra Grande, located in the state of Piauí, has been a renowned kiteboarding destination in South America for many years but is less known by Europeans, although this is now changing. The closest airport is Jericoacoara (around 2.5 hours away). Barra Grande works really well in combination with Icaraizinho or Prea.
Days 15 - 16

The adventure continues with another epic transfer, combining 4x4 off-road driving, road sections and boat crossings to reach the Parnaíba Delta (around 6 hours).
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a private guided boat tour through the vast network of rivers, lagoons and mangrove channels that make up this extraordinary delta. Your expert local guide will take you deep into the waterways to spot wildlife, navigate hidden channels and experience the unique landscapes of this rare oceanic delta, all in the comfort of your own private vessel.
The Parnaiba Delta Reserve
Days 15 - 20
4* Kitesurf Lagoon Chalets

The final leg of the trip takes you to Atins, with a transfer of around seven hours that again includes 4x4 travel both on and off road, followed by a final speedboat arrival. Atins is absolutely worth the journey, especially for the incredible Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, where you can even kitesurf inside the massive sand dunes — a truly unforgettable experience.
